Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
When should we book a wedding videographer?
It’s best to book 9–18 months in advance, especially if your wedding is during peak season (spring/summer). Popular datesget booked quickly.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
Yes. I take a 20-25% deposit to secure your date in my diary, with the balance due 4 weeks before your wedding. You are welcome to cancel at any time.
How long does the final film take?
I aim to deliver finished films as quickly as possible but always within 6 weeks.
Are there any hidden costs like VAT and travel?
No. The prices you see on my packages page is the price you pay. No extras or hidden charges.
We can only afford a photographer or a videographer, which should we choose?
It's very hard to say. Photography is a wedding tradition that stretches back for years for good reason. People like looking through their wedding album. Videos are different. They capture movement, body language, interactions, eye contact, sounds and many moments that you will have missed on the day. Your wedding day is an exceptional day, and it's worth finding a little bit extra to relive the moments and memories in stills and moving images.
I speak to many couples who say their biggest regret is not having a wedding video.
Do you offer photos and video?
My video cameras can not take photos. You can take screenshots but they are very poor quality compared to professional wedding photos
How do you deliver our video?
You'll receive a link to my video sharing website. From there you can choose to download a copy or watch on your phone, tablet, computer or smart TV, just like Netflix.
What happens if you can't make it?
I have been working in the wedding industry for 10 years and I can't remember missing a wedding. I have many friends who will be able to cover me if I am unwell. If your wedding is a long way from where I live, I may travel down the day before to make sure I am there on time.
